Insurance is the part of the booking conversation that generates the most questions and the least clear language industry-wide, so here’s the plain version, without the fine print doing the explaining for us.
Two completely different kinds of insurance
There are two separate insurance questions on any tour, and conflating them is where most confusion comes from. The first is fleet insurance — coverage on the actual car you’re driving, arranged by us as part of every booking. The second is your own travel insurance — trip cancellation, medical coverage, lost luggage, the standard things a travel policy covers, which is entirely your own responsibility to arrange and isn’t included on any of our three routes.
What fleet insurance actually covers
Every vehicle in the fleet carries comprehensive insurance for the full duration of the tour — this is arranged before you arrive, bundled into the booking, and not something a guest sources or pays for separately. It covers the vehicle itself against damage, and the liability side of driving it, for the scheduled route and driving days.
The deductible, explained plainly
This is the part that actually causes confusion: the insurance deductible is the amount you’re exposed to if the vehicle is damaged during your time driving it — typically held as a card authorization rather than an upfront charge, and released back to you at the end of the tour if there’s no claim against it. On the Supercars Rally Monaco, this runs €10,000–€20,000, depending specifically on which car in the fleet you’re driving that day — a Bentley and a McLaren don’t carry the same exposure. The exact figure for your specific route and vehicle is confirmed as part of booking, not left as a surprise on arrival.
What’s not covered, and why that’s your responsibility
None of our three routes include travel insurance or trip-cancellation cover — this is standard across the touring industry, not a Pure Adrenalin-specific gap. A separate travel policy covering cancellation, medical costs, and lost luggage is worth arranging independently before any multi-day trip involving international flights and a non-refundable deposit, regardless of which operator you’re booking with.
Why we’re publishing this plainly
Insurance terms tend to live in the fine print of a booking contract, discovered rather than explained. We’d rather guests understand the actual mechanics — what’s held, what it’s for, when it’s released — before they’re standing at a fleet handover reading paperwork for the first time.
Deductible figures and coverage specifics vary by route and vehicle — this article describes the general structure, not a substitute for the exact terms confirmed at booking. Always confirm the specific deductible for your vehicle before departure.
